The GCS low-voltage withdrawable switchgear (hereinafter referred to as the device) is jointly designed by the former Ministry of Electric Power and the Ministry of Machinery. It features national suitability, high technical performance indicators, and the ability to meet the needs of the electricity market and compete with imported products. This device passed the joint appraisal hosted by the two ministries in July 1996 in Shanghai and has received favorable comments from manufacturing units and electricity users.
The Ministry of Electric Power Industry and the Ministry of Machinery Industry jointly issued the "Notice on Relevant Issues Concerning the Promotion and Application of GCS Low-Voltage Withdrawable Switchgear" under documents An Sheng Yong [1997] No. 01 and Ji Zhong [1997] No. 01. Currently, GCS low-voltage withdrawable switchgear is widely used by electricity users.

Scope of Use and Applications
The device is suitable for power, distribution, and motor control centers in low-voltage power distribution systems, capacitor compensation, and other power conversion, distribution, and control applications in power plants, substations, petrochemical departments, industrial and mining enterprises, and high-rise buildings.
In power plants with large unit capacities and low-voltage power control centers and motor control centers in large-scale petrochemical and other industries, it can meet the special needs of computer interfaces.
The device is a new type of low-voltage withdrawable switchgear designed according to the requirements of the superior authorities of the Ministry of Electric Power, numerous electricity users, and design departments. To meet the ever-developing electricity market's needs for capacity expansion, computer interfaces, centralized power control, convenient installation and maintenance, and reduced accident handling time, it adheres to the principles of safety, economy, rationality, and reliability. The product features high analytical and switching capabilities, good dynamic and thermal stability, flexible electrical performance, convenient combination, strong practicality and series characteristics, novel structure, and high protection level, and can be used as a replacement for low-voltage withdrawable switchgear.
The device conforms to IEC439-1 "Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies", GB7251 "Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies", and ZBK36001 "Low-voltage withdrawable switchgear and controlgear assemblies" standards.

Compared with traditional products, the novel structure of GCS low-voltage switchgear has many advantages:
● Increase the thermal capacity of the connecting piece, significantly reducing the additional temperature rise caused by the temperature rise of the connecting piece to the connector, cable head, and partition plate.
● The separation between functional units and compartments is clear and reliable, and the failure of one unit does not affect the operation of other units, limiting the failure to the smallest extent.
● The horizontally arranged busbars ensure good dynamic and stable performance of the device, capable of withstanding the impact of 80/176kA short-circuit current.
● Compact design: The number of circuits in a single MCC cabinet can reach up to 22, fully considering the needs of large-unit-capacity power generation and automation equipment in petrochemical systems.
● The connection between the device and external cables is completed in the cable compartment, and the cables can be entered and exited from the top or bottom.
● In the same power distribution system, the short-circuit current can be limited by matching current-limiting reactors to stabilize the bus voltage within the allowable range.
● Compact design: A smaller space can accommodate more functional units.
● High safety: Extensive use of high-strength flame-retardant engineering plastic components effectively enhances safety protection performance.
● Easy assembly: No special or complex tools are required.
Standards Compliance
This product is a combination switchgear that has undergone type testing by a nationally designated testing agency, and it meets the standards of IEC493-1:1992 and GB7251.1-1997.

GCS low-voltage withdrawable switchgear is suitable for AC 50(60)Hz, rated insulation voltage and operating voltage of 380(400), 660V, and rated current of 4000A and below three-phase five-wire power supply systems. It can be used in power plants, substations, industrial and mining enterprises, large buildings, hotels, airports, docks, and communication centers such as broadcasting and television for power generation, transmission and distribution, power conversion, and control of power consumption equipment.
